The Innovation Day 2015 organised by Infineon Technologies Austria AG will be held in Villach, Austria on the 6th of May 2015. This is the first time that the traditionally internal Infineon innovation event will be extended by a full day and open to selected invitees to share the outcomes of the pilot line projects EPT300 and EPPL.

The event will focus on exchanging insights and receiving first-hand experience on large international pilot line projects and on research and development in the area of key enabling technologies with focus on power semiconductors and advanced manufacturing. This includes topics such as the role of academia in large pilot line projects, insights on leading edge research and development including related challenges, academia industry co-operations and IPR treatment.

Y3 meeting in Germany @TU Dresden, 2015

The Y3 meeting was held at the premises of TU Dresden in Germany from March 24 to March 25, 2015.

The first day was dedicated to work package meetings, a meeting of the academic board and an overview on the status of the project and upcoming events presented by the project management.

The second day focused on the detailed presentation of each workpackage and on planning the remaining tasks in EPT300.

EPT300 - a best practice example for multi key enabling technologies pilot production activities

As previously announced EPT300 was selected by the European Commission to act as a demonstrator within the multi Key Enabling Technologies Pilot Lines Project (mKPL).

Within this demonstration activity - from Sept 9 to Sept 10 - experts from industry, policy making and research joined two workshops at the premises of Infineon in Villach, Austria. One strand was dedicated to policy related aspects of the mKPL and the EPT300 projects and the other strand dealt with challenges and insights related to the co-operation between industry and research/academia.

The workshops were a full success. Intermediate results of the mKPL project, valuable insights by pilot production experts and high level participants were presented. The outcome of the discussions will be fed back to the mKPL project.

An official press release by Infineon (in German) can be downloaded.

The EPT300 second review meeting was held at INFINEON Dresden on June 25, 2014

Due to the successful co-operation of the EPT300 partners and the good progress of the project the EPT300 Consortium was able to present several technology demonstrators and to prove the achievement of the key performance indicators addressable in the reporting period.

Successfull Y2 meeting held at Infineon Villach

The EPT300 consortium met on March 10 - 11, 2014 at the premises of the co-ordinatior Infineon Austria in Villach.

The first day was dedicated to exchanging the status and achievements of all work packages. The second day of the meeting had a focus on the work and achievements of our academic partners and research and technology organisations.

EPT300 was selected to act as a pilot production demonstration project

The multi-KETs Pilot Lines project (mKPL) started in January 2013 and was assigned by the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry). This ambitious project aims at the preparation of a common understanding of what pilot lines are and how they can be supported by the European Commission.

One of the activities is to organize Demonstrators to both 1) Collect policy and practical experiences in conducting pilot production activities as input for policymaking, as well as 2) Demonstration of pilot production activities to third parties in order to share experiences.
